  • There are a number of possible causes of picture break-up, pixelation or freezing:
  1. If you are in an area where the signal strength is low, you may need a high-gain aerial for the best reception.
  2. Your aerial should ideally be mounted outside and as high up as possible. It must be pointing in the right direction towards the best local transmitter
  3. The aerial, cables and connections need to be in good condition - cables and connections in particular can become corroded, especially if you live near the sea
  4. It's possible that outside objects are effecting your DVB-T reception , especially if there are large trees near your TV aerial
  5. The TV signal travels in a straight line from the transmitter to the aerial and does not bend well around large objects such as trees. The signal may fluctuate in wet or windy weather. Trees can act as a barrier to the signal, resulting the picture to break up or freeze

  • Most of today's playout devices (Set-Top-Box, DVD, Blu-ray, Gaming Console, act.) are controlled by using an infra-red (IR) signal. On one side, your remote control is transmitting an IR signal code once you press a key, and on the other side, your playout device has an IR Receiver that picks up this signal, analyze it's code and than the relevant action is performed. One of the biggest disadvantage of using IR as a control method is the fact the both, remote and playout device, needs to 'see' each other.Your screen has an IR receiver built-in (obviously for controlling all of the screen's features). The IR Out port of the screen is enabling the received IR code to 'pass-through' (re-transmitted) through those ports. This enables you to install your playout devices behind the mirror/glass or even in a remote location and still to be able to control them using an IR remote control. In most cases you'll use an IR Emitter connected to the IR Out2 (LED) on one side and on the other side you place the IR Emitter (LED) just on in front of you playout device IR receiver. The IR Out2 was designed for 5VDC IR Emitters using a 2.5mm MONO mini-jack plug. Pinout details are: Tip - Signal, Sleeve - GND. In some cases your playout device will have an extra port for 'wired' IR control signals. In this case please use the IR Out1 (Cable) using a 3.5mm STEREO mini-jack plug. Pinout details are: Tip - Not Used, Ring - Signal and Sleeve - GND
  • The external IR receiver should be connected to the IR In port. This port is designed for 5VDC IR Receivers using a 3.5mm STEREO mini-jack plug. Pinout details are: Tip - +5VDC, Ring - Signal and Screen - GND.

Please note: Once an external IR receiver is plugged in it disables the screen's built-in IR receiver

  • Currently our screen hardware supports audio out signals of 'speaker level'. Please use a 'speaker level to line level'-adaptor/converter in order to connect to your receiver audio input.
  • You can connect any speaker that it's impedance is 8 Ohm and can handle power of minimum 10 Watts.
  • For information on "How to unlock the OSD Menu access" please contact us.
  • The waterproof remote can "learn" IR codes to be assigned to the remote's keys. Please refer to the "ad notam Waterproof Remote Programming Guide" which can be downloaded here

  • Can't turn your screen on:
  1. Check for screen's power. It's status LED should lit as long as there is power. Red - Standby, Green -On.
  2. Once status LED is hidden please check the power adaptor - it should have it's own status LED (green)
  3. Last, check your electrical power socket (using another electrical device...)
  • You can use the screen's 'IR Pass Through' feature by connecting an IR emitter (inc. extension cable) to the screen's IR Out2 (LED) port. If your source is equipped with a wired IR control port use the screen's IR Out1 (Cable). Both IR Out ports are active at the same time.Any IR signal received by the screen's built-in IR receiver will be re-transmitted via the IR Out port(s). Make sure that the IR emitter is attached to or placed in front of your source's IR receiver.
  • The screen doesn't have any built-in tuner. You'll need to use an external set-top-box to be connected to the screen via HDMI.
  • Using the Waterproof or SlimLine remote you'll be able to fully control your screen, DSTB-TS2 and DSTB-IPTV playout devices. They have also the ability to turn on/off your mirror LED lights and recall one of your lighting presets (once a lighting DIMMER is installed). The mirror LED lighting system has many other features that are controlled by the DIMMER remote control. The Digital Clock is controlled (time adjust/format) by it's own IR remote.

  1. Some of the models, especially the ones which are intended to be installed in public places are laminated with a safety layer.
  2. As any glass can break, laminated safety glass holds together when shattered. In the event of breaking, its high strength prevents the glass from breaking up into large sharp pieces.
  3. Additionally, the corners and edges of the glass are very delicate. Take care that they do not hit the wall, ceiling or floor in any way to avoid damages and split-offs.
